Shilpa Shetty: Popular Celebrity, Film Actress, Producer, Model and the Winner of the Reality TV Show Big Broth

Shilpa Shetty is one of India’s most popular high-profile celebrity, film actress, producer, former model and the winner of the British reality television series Celebrity Big Brother 5. She is primarily known for her work in Bollywood films, she has also appeared in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada language films.

Born on 8th, June 1975, Shilpa Shetty is also known by her married name Shilpa Shetty Kundra, is the recipient of numerous accolades, including four Filmfare nominations. As a teenager, she did a few modelling assignments and appeared in several television commercials.

She is also a prominent celebrity endorser for brands and products, and Shilps is vocal about the issues such as feminism and animal rights. She has featured also appeared as a celebrity host for the Bigg Boss 2 reality show 2008, and also served as a talent judge for the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye reality shows.

Shilpa Shetty is also the co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team, the Rajasthan Royals, since February 2009. Then she turned into a film producer with the ‘Dishkiyaaoon’, action film 2014.

She was also having a relationship with high-profile actor Akshay Kumar, than she married to businessman Raj Kundra in 2009, now they both are happy with a son.

Shilpa Shetty’s father, Surendra and her mother, Sunanda are both manufacturers of tamper-proof water caps for the pharmaceutical industry. Her younger sister, Shamita Shetty is also a Hindi film actress. They even worked together once in the film Fareb (2005).

Shilpa Shetty attended St. Anthony Girls’ High School in Chembur, Mumbai, and than Podar College in Matunga. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, and active sports with a black belt in karate, a dance-sport expert & enthusiast.
