Arjun Rampal Transforms Into Arun Gawli In ‘Daddy’

Actor Arjun Rampal took to social media to share the first teaser of his film Daddy, in which he plays Mumbai’s milkman-turned-gangster Arun Gawli. The teaser juxtaposes the original picture of Gawli taken after his arrest in 1979 at the Agripada jail in Mumbai, which transforms into Arjun in the look of the don – albeit a rather good-looking one. see here..

He attended the St. Patrick School, then went to the prestigious Kodaikanal International school and graduated in economics honours from the prestigious Hindu college in Delhi University. He made his acting debut in Rajiv Rai’s romance Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat in 2001.

Rampal is married to Mehr Jesia in 1998 and has two daughters Mahikaa and Myra. He was appreciated for his performance and received several awards for his work in the movie including a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

He has been a TV host and former fashion supermodel. In Bollywood movies, he is considered one of Indians most versatile actors and is know for choosing roles that aren’t typical or run of the mill.

Rampal got his breakthrough in Don (2006). He has thus far achieved commercial success in films including Aankhen, Om Shanti Om, Rock On!!, Housefull and Ra.One, all which fetched him numerous accolades. He has received many awards and nominations.

He has also established his production company Chasing Ganesha Films. He became a film producer with I See You under his banner and played the lead role in 2006. His latest venture as a producer is a film based on gangster turned politician Arun Gawli. The film is titled Daddy. Slated for release in early or mid 2017.
